Free domain names

Welcome to freedns.my, a free registry for domain names under asia.ci, de5.net, kz.ci, l.cd, pvf.cc or us.ci. Registration is free of charge, there is no fee for renewal, and no advertising is inserted into your pages.

This registry answers for the names itself: an approved name is published with the A, AAAA, CNAME and TXT records kept for it.Once a name is active you can change its records and add sub-names such as www.myname yourself on the manage records page; every change is reviewed by an operator before it goes live. For suffixes whose upstream platform allows it (the zones that are in the Public Suffix List, for example us.ci and de5.net) you can point the name at your own name servers in the console - that is applied immediately, without a review.

Announcement

This registry hands out free domain names under the zones listed on the
request form (first served, no charge, no advertising).

Give the IPv4 and/or IPv6 address or addresses that should serve your name: the registry publishes
the A and AAAA records. Once a name is active you can add sub-names such as www.myname and further
records (CNAME, TXT) yourself; every change is reviewed by an operator before it goes live.

Delegation to your own name servers is not available yet, because the zones are not listed in the
Public Suffix List.

The second-level domains of kz.ci and xyz.ci are currently unavailable. We have migrated them to the DNSHE platform, please visit dnshe.com. Note: The ownership of kz.ci and xyz.ci still belongs to us.

Requests are reviewed by hand, normally within a few days. Please read the registration policy before you apply.

How to register a name

1. Decide which zone you want and which address or host name should serve the name.
2. Fill in the Request a domain: the zone, the name you want and at least one record (A, AAAA or CNAME).
3. Save the request code that is shown after submitting. It is the only way to follow the request and to manage the records later.
4. We review the request by hand. When it is approved the records are added to the zone, and you can add sub-names and TXT records afterwards.
5. After that, use manage records to change addresses or to add sub-names; use Check a request to see the current state.

Documents

Please read the registration policy and documentation before applying. Requests that do not follow the policy are rejected.
