What changed

Every change that is worth knowing about: what was repaired and what was added. The newest release is at the top.

2026-10-04 11:17 Routine maintenance finished. (reason: This is a test maintenance to prove that the interface is working fine.)
What changed in this release
=============================

Fixed
-----
1. Chinese pages (everything under /zh/) returned 404 - every page exists now, including the
   console, the market, the shop, the chat and WHOIS.
2. Signing in or linking with GitHub could reload the page for ever without finishing - fixed;
   afterwards you land back on the page you started from.
3. Some links went to a non-existing /account/account/... address - fixed everywhere.
4. Buttons in the back office that test an integration did nothing - they save your values first
   now and show the answer of the other side.
5. Records were refused by DNSHE because of the record-name format - fixed.
6. A database column this version needs could make a page fail or stay blank; the page now says
   exactly which statement to import.
7. Records could still be changed while a name was being transferred - locked now.
8. Actions outside a reviewer's suffixes are refused and explain why.
9. Integration errors are told apart now: missing permission, rate limit, expired token or
   unknown repository each get their own message.
10. The documentation still claimed own name servers are impossible - corrected.
11. Notification mails are sent in the language of the recipient and carry the reason of a
    rejection.
12. DNSHE names can no longer be deleted (DNSHE forbids deleting a registered subdomain); use
    Suspend instead.

New
---
* Domain market: offer a registrable domain you bought elsewhere (registration date, expiry,
  registrar, transfer price, asking price, currency, negotiable), reviewed by hand, pinnable;
  buyer and seller receive each other's address by mail. The registry is not part of the deal.
* Quota shop: earn extra registration quota for starring our repository, for promoting us
  (send a link, reviewed by hand) or with your personal invite code.
* Personal invite codes, with the number of people you brought visible in the console; a code
  can also be typed in when you register.
* Live chat: talk to the registry in the page (it refreshes itself, no JavaScript needed); a
  visitor may leave a message and is answered by mail.
* Transfer tickets for names under a DNSHE suffix: apply, the registry prepares the code, the
  recipient accepts it within 72 hours.
* Own name servers for suffixes that allow it (zones in the Public Suffix List, for example
  us.ci and de5.net): set them in the console, the change applies at once.
* WHOIS lookup, dark mode, flood protection with a back-office release panel, reviewer accounts
  limited to their suffixes, user management and a registration allowance per e-mail address.

Still worth knowing
-------------------
* Records: A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, MX, SRV, CAA and PTR, wildcards (*.name), and every record can
  carry its own TTL (60 to 86400 seconds) and, for A/AAAA/CNAME, its own proxy setting.
* No own name servers for the suffixes this registry hands out itself (they are not in the
  Public Suffix List).
* No SLA.
